Texas Freshwater Mussel Symposium & Workshop

The cost for the symposium and workshop is $400 for professionals and $100 for students.  The registration fee includes a social on Day 1, lunch on Days 2 & 3, dinner on Day 4, coffee breaks on Days 2 & 3, transportation to and from the field sites on Day 4, and all course materials including a copy of the new “Field Guide to Texas Freshwater Mussels” by Robert G. Howells.

Although lodging is not included with registration, individual rates have been discounted to $85 per night, which includes a free Continental Breakfast, at the Inn of the Hills Resort & Conference Center, 1001 Junction Hwy | Kerrville, Texas 78028. In order to receive this rate, reservations must be made by July 12, 2014. When making room reservations, please call 800-292-5690 and request the Institute of Renewable Natural Resources group rate.

If you would like to present your research, please send an abstract, 300 words or less (see below for details) in word format to: TXMSW2014@gmail.com. Space is limited, so preference will be given to students and for research topics that are conservation oriented. The abstract submission deadline for the August 2014 symposium will be June 30, 2014. The symposium format will be oral presentations and will be limited to 20 minutes (including the question and answer period).

Registration is limited and will be accepted on a first come first served basis so please register early.  Registration deadline is August 1, 2014.
