Even so, it has several challenges, and private landowners are key to improving conditions in the Trinity River Basin. To address these challenges, Trinity Waters and the Texas AgriLife Extension Service, through Clean Water Act §319 (h) funding provided by the Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board, are hosting a series of workshops for landowners and other interested stakeholders to discuss solutions to challenges faced in the Basin. This set of workshops is the first in a series designed to raise awareness of water quality issues, discuss land management techniques that could improve the water resources of the Trinity River Basin and make decisions to protect natural resources for future generations. Land management links common goals in livestock, wildlife, and water resources management. Topics addressed at this first set of workshops will include: What is a Watershed? Water Quality Basics and Protection in Texas What are the benefits of watershed management to landowners and the public?
